Payment of backlog of Scholarship to students of Law School and other Tertiary Institutions; Accreditation of 17 courses offered at the Plateau State University, Bokkos; Graduation of First and Second Sets of Graduates; Released the sum of N500 million for infrastructural development and accreditation of courses at the Plateau State University; Release the sum of N120 million for Infrastructural Development at the Plateau State Polytechnic, Barkin Ladi including an additional release of N228m in January 2018 for accreditation of courses; Recruitment of about 4,800 trained primary school teachers states wide, with each Local Government employing at least 250 Teachers; Sponsored and paid scholarships of twenty eight (28) indigenous students to the Egyptian Maritime Academy, Alexandria, and Recruitment of 834 Secondary School Teachers by the Teachers service Commission. The Schools Renewal Programmed of the State Universal Basic Education Board is also on course with well over 500 Primary Schools in the state being renovated, including the provision of desks, basic infrastructural materials and textbooks.
Equipping and completion of the Riyom Cottage Hospital; Complete Renovation and Equipment Update of the Jos Specialist Hospital; Accreditation of some courses offered by the Colleges of Health Pankshin and Zawan; Installation and Equipping of Ultra-Modern E-Library facilities at the College of Health Zawan. The Cottage Hospitals at Mabudi in Langtang South LGA and Kwall in Kanke LGA are under construction and have reached about 90% completion.
Plateau State was selected as a pilot State for the move towards Digital Switch-over by 17th June, 2017. The administration has faithfully implemented this programme.
