Pankshin Local Government Area covers a land area of 1,434 square kilometres and is made up of 168,718 persons. The Area is inhabited by the Ngas, Mupun, Chip, Kadung and a host of other non tribes lies 20 kilometres south east.

Agriculrural Resources
The area boasts of the production of large quantity of Tomatoes, Guinea Com, Maize, Groundnuts, etc. as well as Cabbage, Garden Egg etc. are produced in large quantitiy.

Mineral Resources
There is abundam deposits of Feldspar, Quartz, Zinc, Aluminum, Clay and Lead.

Tourism
In the area of tOurism the Local Governmem Council is endowed with several tourist attractions which include The Nefur Arena, Pankshin hills Wulmat, Kolmet, Vel Hills, Gibang Hills and Tambes Hills.
